Mikel’s band of brothers are ready 10 take centre stage

MIKEL ARTETA has guided Arsenal to the top of the Premier League - and never had so many leaders to take them there.

The Gunners boss has built the strongest squad of his six-year reign, ensuring there are plenty of characters within the group.

Arteta believes they are playing some of the best football of his time at the Emirates, highlighted by their four-goal demolition of Atletico Madrid.

When asked if that was one of the best halves of football of his time, Arteta said: “One of the best because when we looked at the fixtures that we had at the start of the season, it was difficult.

“We have a lot of new players, which is exciting. But those players need to get settled.

“And that process has been fast and efficient. It gives us a good platform for the rest of the season. Building and maintaining that momentum is important.
