Youth project sees rise in demand from young people facing homelessness

A CHARITY in Coventry that supports young people facing homelessness has seen an increase in demand.

Simon Ree, who runs Badsley Youth Project in the city centre, caters to 'walk with' young people under 25 rather than signpost them to other services.

Simon was helped by the project when he was younger and has gone on to become CEO. The project offers vari-ous services, from drop-in sessions to help furnish accommodations when they become available in the city.

Bardsley Youth Project, which is partially funded through grants, also offers individual support and help with filling in forms or introducing vulnerable young people to partner organisations to help them find a home.
