Warning of closures for HS2 works

DRIVERS are being warned of possible travel disruptions on the A46 next week due to HS2 works.

The works were delayed on the dual carriageway in August but have now resumed this month.

The high-speed rail project had previously worked on the A46 to move a 14,500-tonne box structure to carry the railway under the road, which has been completed. Now, a spokesperson said, closures will be in place for 'final safety, central reservation and utility work' before traffic management is removed.
