Turn off the benefits to stop illegal crossings

WE often hear from the pro-illegal immigration lobby and their allies on the left that the reason 50,000 (by the time you read this it will no doubt be more) illegal immigrants have crossed the English Channel in small boats in the past 12 months is because there are no safe and legal routes to travel to the UK in order to apply for asylum?
