FRANK Lampard hailed goalkeeper Carl Rushworth as “outstanding” for ensuring Coventry City got back to winning ways at the CBS Arena.

Although the Sky Blues dominated large parts of the game against Bristol City and twice hit the post before finally finding the back of the net in the 64th minute through Ephron Mason-Clark, they looked vulnerable on the counterattack when the club’s on-loan stopper came into his own, making a number of impressive saves but one brilliant in added time to deny Fally Mayulu an equaliser for the visitors.

“He made outstanding saves and if you want to have success in any league you need a keeper performing like that and sometimes helping you win points, so outstanding from him,” said the City boss.
