New appeal in bid to save community centre from closure

A DESPERATE plea has been made to save Keresley community centre from closure.
It is the second time in several years that the centre has been at risk.
Back in 2024, a not-for-profit organisation, Empowr-U, stepped in to run the centre after the borough council revealed at the end of 2021 that it planned to no longer run Keresley or Stockingford community centres, giving groups the chance to take over the helm.
