Mayor offers support for suppliers to JLR

Mayor Richard Parker is working with JLR, as well as government officials and union bosses during what has been described as a 'concerning time'.

For two weeks the car giant's manufacturing operations have been at a near standstill as the company works with the police and other bodies trying to find a solution.

"The cyber attack on JLR has an impact on JLR, its workforce and those in its supply chain here in the West Midlands and further afield," Mr Parker said.

"I've been in regular contact with JLR, the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, Noll and officials at both departments. I also met with the Unite & GMB Plant Convenor for the Solihull plant this week."
