NOW the new year is with us, your garden can bring a fresh burst of optimism.

HOW WILL YOUR GARDEN GROW?

SKETCH IT OUT: Plot out your patch IDEAS: Maybe add a water butt TIDY: Dispose of leaves

January is the perfect moment to look back at the year just gone and shape your plans for 2026.PAUSE AND LOOK BACK

Take a gentle wander around the garden. Wrap up warm with a hot drink, look, and reflect.

Ask yourself two questions...

What did you love about your garden this year?

What would you change?

Consider moments that made you smile. Perhaps it was a brilliant container display of spring bulbs, tomatoes that kept coming, or a border buzzing with bees in summer.

Then, notice the areas you would like to improve - bare corners in winter, containers you struggled to maintain, or lawns which need some love. These will give you some great starting points for next year.
