AN increase in the number of complaints made to the ombudsman about Coventry City Council is partially down to the nation’s love of complaining, according to officers.
But they point out that figures show the number of those that were upheld is lower than the regional average.
The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman (LGSCO) is the final stage for complaints about councils. It is a free independent service that investigates complaints and provides a means of redress for individuals when they feel that there had been an injustice caused by unfair treatment or service failure.
