20M-HIGH TELECOMMUNICATIONS MAST PLAN IN COV REFUSED
Coventry Telegraph
|December 30, 2025
A PLAN to put a 20m-high telecommunications mast on a patch of grass in Tile Hill has been kicked out by councillors concerned by the lack of consultation.
The company, MBNL, wanted to place the monopole along with six cabinets next the road in Ferrers Close after being informed that the tower block currently housing the equipment is earmarked for demolition.
A statement from planning agent Rachel Gormley explained that a replacement site was needed in the area to maintain network coverage. She added: “The proposed installation on the grass verge at the junction of Ferrers Close and Faseman Avenue will ensure the continuation of a high quality 4G coverage and enable the introduction of 5G services for this part of Coventry.
