Plea to revive Legion branch

EFFORTS are under way to save Carmarthen's longstanding Royal British Legion branch from folding.
The branch has not met since the start of the Covid pandemic and despite having members on the books, it is in need of a fresh start.
An informal gathering is being held at Carmarthen Athletic RFC in Alltycnap Road, Johnstown, on Saturday, July, 19, between 10am and noon, in a bid to kick-start the branch again.
Tom Brown, South West Wales Royal British Legion District chairman, is organising the event and said: "The branch has been in the doldrums for a number of years, despite having many members.
