IT was a busy bank holiday weekend for Carmarthen Harriers' sprinters, endurance runners, throwers and jumpers.

JOURNEY PAYS OFF FOR PAIR

Amelia Williams and Nansi Griffiths made the journey to North Wales to Llanberis. They were competing at Ras Moel Elio, finishing first and fifth in their age category.

The three-day BUCS Outdoor Athletics Championships was in Manchester where four athletes were representing their universities.

Jessica Hyland, representing Swansea University, went in the 1500m. She clocked 4:54.72.

Sophia Reid-Thomas (Bath Spa) was in action in the 60m sprint heats, stopping the clock in 13.88.
