Fisherman drowns at Mashau Dam
Capricorn Review
|October 01, 2025
THE community of Mashau Matsindevhe is coming to terms with the drowning of Dacious Rambau (35), whose body was recovered from a local dam on September 21.
Rambau, who was unemployed, made a living by fishing in the dam, keeping some of his catch for himself and selling the rest to villagers. On the day of the tragedy, he went fishing with a friend.
It is alleged that he waded into the water, got into difficulty, and disappeared beneath the surface.
