Telangana Govt to implement TN's breakfast scheme for school students from next year : CM Revanth Reddy

Taking an inspiration from the Tamil Nadu's pioneering Chief Minister's Breakfast scheme for students of Classes 1 to 5, which has increased the enrollment rate in schools and prevent drop outs, Telangana Chief Minster Revanth Reddy tonight said his government would replicate this scheme in his state from the next academic year.

Speaking as the Chief Minister at an event Tamil Nadu Excels in Education to highlight the achievements of TN's revolutionary Pudumai Penn scheme and Tamil Pudalvan scheme offering financial assistance to puruse their school and higher education, Mr Revanth Reddy termed the breakfast scheme as a heart warming and that the Telangana government will implement this scheme in schools from the next academic year.
“am taking the inspiration from here. I am taking the inspiration from TN Chief Minister M K Stlain, who had implemented this pioneering initiative to provide breakfast to school students considering that their parents, who leave for their work early in the morning, could not feed them", he said.
