Telangana achieves milestone: Rs 8,284 cr Rythu Bharosa funds deposited in record time : Minister Tummala

In a major boost to farmers, Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao announced on Monday that Rs 8,284.66 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme has been successfully deposited into the accounts of 67.01 lakh farmers across the state.

He stated that the process of crediting Rythu Bharosa funds for all cultivated lands, irrespective of acreage, will be completed by tomorrow.
Speaking to the media at Secretariat here, the Minister said the entire fund disbursement for the monsoon season has been completed in just nine days, fulfilling the promise made by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
The phased rollout of the funds began on June 16, with Rs 2,349.83 crore released on day one for up to two acres, gradually increasing to Rs 8,284.66 crore by the seventh day for land up to 15 acres.
“This is the first time in the state's history that such large scale financial support to farmers has been executed within a short span," the Minister said.
