(Capital Information)

In a shocking incident that has come to light through delayed video evidence, Dalit and minority youths were brutally assaulted in public by police officers in Tenali’s Aithanagar area.

The visuals show the young men being beaten in broad daylight, in the presence of the public, causing widespread fear and outrage among local residents.

The incident reportedly involves Constable Kanna Chiranjeevi (PC: 6068), currently serving in Tenali 3 Town Police Station, who has no official jurisdiction in the 2 Town limits where the incident occurred. It is alleged that he entered the 2 Town area and demanded money from the youths, threatening to frame them in false narcotics cases if they refused.

When the victims did not comply, Constable Chiranjeevi, fearing exposure of his corrupt practices, allegedly filed a fabricated case (Cr. No: 52/2025) against them. The victims were unlawfully detained for three days and subjected to third-degree torture, according to sources.
