Collector T. Vinay Krishna Reddy suggested that the government should give top priority to the implementation of development programs and welfare schemes for the upliftment of people of various sections. He visited Bheengal Municipality on Wednesday. He reviewed with the officials the construction of Indiramma houses, Vana Mahotsavam and preventive measures being taken to control seasonal diseases being implemented in the town.

The Collector, who reviewed the progress in each ward-wise in the respective areas, directed the officials to set clear goals and work in a planned manner to achieve them. He said that initiatives should be taken to ensure that the construction of Indiramma houses is done quickly. He said that there should be no delay in the selection sanctioning processes of beneficiaries. He said that although many people are interested in building houses in rural areas, houses have been sanctioned even in municipalities as per the government's resolve to provide Indiramma houses in urban areas as well.

Keeping this in mind, the Collector suggested that all those who have been sanctioned should be encouraged to build Indiramma houses and, if necessary, take the help of Indiramma committee members. He said that initiatives should be taken to provide loans of up to one lakh rupees under bank linkage under the auspices of MEPMA to beneficiaries who cannot afford to build houses. He suggested that close monitoring should be carried out to ensure that the loan taken is spent on house construction.
