Zeitz MOCAA Global Council gets nine new members

ZEITZ Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) is adding nine pan-African and international members to its Global Council, which supports, promotes and presents contemporary art from Africa and its Diaspora.
Zeitz MOCAA is a public not-for-profit institution that collects, preserves, researches, and exhibits contemporary art.
The new additions bring the contingent to 27 members, including Global Council Founding Members Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo (Italy), Jochen Zeitz, Mouna Mekouar (Morocco), Michele Sofisti, Tsabalala Kingston, Samallie Kiyingi, Wangechi Mutu, and Yinka Shonibare CBE (UK).
The Global Council is chaired by Acha Leke, Senior Partner and Chairman of McKinsey, Africa.
The new additions include Dr Anita Bamisard (USA), Davis Ross (USA), Holly Peterson (USA), Jessica Mwintiriri (Sweden), Michael Armittage (Kenya/ UK), Sarah Arison (USA), Makole Mupita (RSA), as well as Otobong Nkanga and Wim van Ooteghem (Nigeria/Belgium and The Netherlands/ Belgium).
