Traffic officers put brakes on 'drunk' Porsche driving involved in crash with taxi

THE driver of a Porsche forfeited the luxury of his sports car when he was arrested for allegedly being more than twice over the legal alcohol limit while driving on FW de Klerk Boulevard.
Officers were attending to an accident between the Porsche and a mini-bus taxi driver in the CBD when they tested the driver for alcohol. The reading of 0.52 meant that he was more than twice the legal limit of 0.24mg/1000ml.
Safety and security mayco member JP Smith said the accident could have had serious consequences with innocent passengers sustaining injuries.
