Ramadaan relief programme

GIFT of the Givers has rolled out an extensive Ramadaan relief programme across the Western Cape as Muslims prepare for a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and charity.

On the eve of Ramadan, the humanitarian organisation will distribute tons of food supplies to 25 mosques, madrasas and community organisations in socioeconomically challenged areas.

These centres will use the supplies to prepare daily iftar meals for those breaking their fast, ensuring vulnerable families and individuals can observe the holy month with dignity.

The iftar meals will also be open to the broader community - whether fasting or not - in keeping with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
