Paarl man sold porn featuring his own children

THE Paarl Regional Court has sentenced a 27-year-old father of three minor children to an effective 35 years behind bars for multiple serious crimes, including rape and child pornography.

The court found him guilty of two counts of trafficking in persons for online exploitation, four counts of rape involving two minor children, three counts of using children for or benefiting from child pornography, 629 counts of possession of child pornography, three counts of unlawful and intentional distribution of child pornography, and three counts of child abuse.

National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson, Eric Ntabazalila, said the court sentenced him to a total of 195 years, and ordered most of the sentences to run concurrently, leaving him to spend 35 years behind bars.

Ntabazalila said he will have to serve two-thirds of his sentence before he can be eligible for parole.

“The State does not name the accused as he committed the heinous crimes against his minor children, two girls aged six and four years and his one-year-old son,” said Ntabazalila.
