ROYSTON Town boss Chris Watters hailed an “outstanding second half” from his side after they recorded their first league win of the campaign at Quorn on Saturday.

The Crows went in trailing 1-0 at the break at Farley Way Stadium, but goals after the restart from Kian Harness and Joe Iaciofano turned the game around to secure a 2-1 victory for the visitors.

Royston’s maiden league win of the season leaves them second from bottom in the Southern League Premier Central, on six points from eight matches played.

Reflecting on his side's victory, Watters told his club: “We had to defend solidly, we had to get our distances right, and the moments we didn’t they were in, and perhaps a little bit of wasteful finishing on a couple of occasions, and they might have had a little bit more.

“We weren't sure what they were going to play.
