£35,000 APPEAL TO PUBLIC TO HELP BOOST £225,000 WETLAND RESTORATION SCHEME

- Owen Hughes

A charity wants to buy a section of floodplain pasture and river beach in North Wales. The section along the Afon Glaslyn is known as Traeth Bach (Little Beach).

The bid is being made by Bywyd Gwyllt Glaslyn Wildlife - a Welsh charity dedicated to protecting and promoting ospreys and other wildlife in Dyffryn Glaslyn in Eryri (Snowdonia).

They already manage the Glaslyn Ospreys visitor site on the land, which is situated near Porthmadog. The charity has launched an appeal to back their bid - hoping to raise £35,000 from the public.
