More PLDT facilities will shift to RE—exec

- BY LENIE LECTURA

TERRA Solar Philippines Inc. (MTerra Solar), an affiliate of Meralco PowerGen Corp. (MGen), has started delivering power to the Luzon grid.

Over the weekend, the power generation arm of Pangilinan-led Meralco said it successfully energized Phase 1 of the MTerra Solar project, just 16 months after its groundbreaking. The project spans four municipalities across Nueva Ecija and Bulacan.

This phase is set to supply up to 85-megawatts (MW) of mid-merit power to the grid, supporting energy demand during peak daytime hours and marking the initial delivery to the Manila Electric Co. (Meralco).
