Manulife urges clients to diversify as risks expand

The Manufacturers Life Insurance Co. (Phils.)Inc. is urging its clients to diversify as geopolitical risks, notably from the war in the Middle East, expand.
“We are in an unpredictable environment. We are in a economic environment where...surprises are always around the corner. And that is why for any customer to or even for a organization, a financial institution, to predict which part of the worldwhich asset class will be generating a good return for the customer is becoming increasingly difficult,” Manulife PHL President and CEO Rahul Hora said last Monday, the 10th day after the US and Israel attacked Iran on February 28.
According to Hora, they are still evaluating the impact of the ongoing regional conflict on Manulife’s business in the Philippines.
He said the company is also teaching its customers on diversification.
