STUDENTS LEARN REAL WORLD HOSPITALITY SKILLS IN NEW PROFESSIONAL KITCHEN SPACE
Students and staff in Burton and South Derbyshire College's new kitchen, supported with a grant from the Savoy Educational Trust
BURTON and South Derbyshire College has launched a new, professional-standard training kitchen designed to help the next generation of hospitality workers.
The accessible kitchen, funded by a grant from the Savoy Educational Trust, features height-adjustable equipment and flexible learning spaces, creating opportunities for learners with a wide range of needs.
The expansion will support students transitioning from foundation learning into vocational hospitality courses, apprenticeships and supported internships, helping them develop and progress into employment in the hospitality sector.
