SIX-DAY CLOSURE OF PIRELLI CAME AFTER A CYBERATTACK

PRODUCTION has now resumed at Pirelli's Burton-on-Trent factory following a temporary six-day closure last month.
The tyre manufacturer confirmed that work at the Derby Road site paused from October 24 to 29 before restarting 'as planned'.
The shutdown was linked to wider disruption in the automotive supply chain after a major cyberattack on Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in September, which forced the car giant to halt vehicle production at several UK sites.
A Pirelli spokesperson said: "Pirelli UK can confirm that production at its Burton-on-Trent plant temporarily halted for six days from October 24 to 29 and has since resumed as planned.
"The pause in activity was to align output with prevailing market conditions.
