TICKNALL kept Rolleston firmly in r relegation trouble in the Beechwood Mazda Derbyshire Premier Division with a 57-run away win on Saturday.

Tickanll chose to bat at The Willows and Tom Wood hit 115 from 122 balls to spearhead the innings.

He lost Jimmy Fry early, for six, then added 72 for the second wicket with Will Tarrant (43 from 55 balls) and 114 for the third with Greg Cork (57 from 59 balls).

That allowed Ticknall to reach 270-7 as Scott Cobley chipped in 23 not out from 13 balls at the end.

Rolleston then lost wickets too regularly to form an effective chase, Sam Bates going first for one, bowled by Cork.

Tom Liversage struck around for 43 from 68 balls, Archie Griffiths made 22, Thaveesha Abhishek 23 and Josh Dent 28 but apart from Liversage and Griffiths adding 55 there were no big partnerships.
