JOLEON LESCOTT reckons Declan Rice could be Arsenal captain next season.
The Gunners are top of the Premier League as they set their sights on a first topflight title in more than two decades. Mikel Arteta’s side have finished runners-up in each of the last three seasons.
Leading the squad is Martin Odegaard (inset), who was named club captain in 2022.
Despite players voting to keep the Norwegian as skipper this term, ex-Manchester City defender Lescott believes Rice (main image) could take over as early as next year.
“He [Rice] is the world's most well-rounded midfielder," said Lescott, speaking on In The Mixer brought to you by Sky Bet. “I think he'll be the next Arsenal captain.
