SIX GREEN SPACES IN REGION HANDED QUALITY MARK AWARD
SIX of South Derbyshire's parks and green spaces have been awarded the Green Flag Award 2025.
The international quality mark was handed to:
■Eureka Park.
■Maurice Lea Memorial Park.
■Cadley Park.
■Swadlincote Woodlands.
■Newhall Park.
■Church Gresley Cemetery.
Judges specifically praised Swadlincote Woodlands, saying: “What a lovely green space. The new play area is attracting more visitors, which hopefully then explore the wider site. Lots of wildlife was seen during our visit to this peaceful site.”
