RESIDENTS CLAIM CAMERON HOMES HAS FAILED TO ADDRESS CONCERNS, BUT DEVELOPER DENIES THAT

- By EVA MILLETT

WORRIED residents have raised concerns about dangerous driving on a Burton housing estate, claiming the issue has been ongoing for years and poses a risk to families and children.

People living on the Cameron Homes Lawnswood Estate, in Tatenhill, say they have been making complaints about speeding vehicles and dangerous driving since 2022.

And they claim that despite repeated complaints and requests, Cameron Homes has failed to put any effective speed restrictions or traffic calming measures in place.

But the developer says that it has 'worked proactively' to address the residents' concerns about the speed of traffic on the estate.

The large estate is made up of a mix of modern family homes including two, three and four bedroom properties, as well as two schools.

Claims have been made that parents do not feel safe for their children to walk to school or play within the estate, and multiple cats have been killed as a result of the dangerous driving.

One resident said: "The speed that cars can get up to is unbelievable. I asked for speed bumps, and explained I'd been asking for them for three years.
