FIRM'S BURTON SUPPORT CENTRE HELPS BRING IN £1.7M FOR THE MACMILLAN 'LIFELINE'

Cheers to Greene King as pub firm raises a 'phenomenal' amount of cash to boost cancer support line

GREENE King's Burton-based support centre helped the pub company raise nearly £1.7 million for Macmillan's Support Line.

The centre, based at Sunrise House, Ninth Avenue, was among 1,600 Greene King pubs, hotels, restaurants, breweries and distribution centres across the country to have raised money for the vital lifeline in the first six months of 2025.

All of the £1,685,000 will be used by the Macmillan Support Line to help more than 14,000 people affected by cancer with information and specialist clinical advice, as well as identifying any unclaimed welfare benefits people could be entitled to.

Greene King has been a long-term charity partner of Macmillan since 2012 - raising more than £23 million for the charity to date.
