JAKE Beesley starred again with another goal but Burton Albion lost 2-1 away at promotion-chasing Lincoln City in an entertaining game.

- By DAN NEWBOULD

It was two teams at opposite ends of the table but Albion showed no fear and went toe to toe with their second placed-hosts as they traded chance after chance in a breathless opening spell which could have easily resulted in more goals.

Unsurprisingly, Gary Bowyer kept changes to a minimum after their 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town last week.

George Evans dropped out due to injury in another blow so Julian Larsson replaced him in midfield. Tomas Kalinauskas featured in Albion's matchday squad for the first time this season after returning from his Superettan title-winning loan with Kalmar FF and was named on the bench.

There was an early let off for the hosts when goalkeeper George Wickens got his attempted punch from a Dylan Williams corner all wrong within the first two minutes but thankfully for his sake a defender was right behind him to clear rather than an Albion attacker.
