Barry's dream to be own boss proved to be success

A DESIRE to be his own boss led Barry Dennis to a rundown filling station in Woodville Road, Overseal.

For many it may not have been the perfect place to start an oil distribution business, but for Barry Dennis, it was perfect.

By the middle of 1983 just eight months opening - Dennis Fuels was a thriving family business.

Mr Dennis had 14 years of experience in the trade having previously worked for the American-owned oil and transportation company Conoco both as a driver and manager.

This experience was the ideal footing for Mr Dennis to establish his own business to sell fuel oils.
