It's back to Boxing Day
BURTON Albion suffered back to back League One defeats in the space of four days as Reading beat them comfortably on New Year's Day.
Two goals in the first half ultimately decided the tie despite a solid start to the contest by Albion with several chances to take the lead.
While the hosts will be happy with the quality of their goals, they were also very simplistic and Gary Bowyer will be tearing his hair out at the lack of defending for both, especially off the back of the two goals conceded against Wigan on Monday night.
Albion were looking to bounce back from that disappointing defeat and made two changes with Julian Larsson returning from illness and coming straight back into the side in place of Fabio Tavares and Dylan Williams in for the injured Tyrese Shade.
Young Sulyman Krubally, singled out by Bowyer as one of the best players on the pitch against Wigan, kept his place after impressing again.
