Aldi handed nearly 35,000 meals to struggling families

SUMMER HOLIDAY DONATIONS MADE POSSIBLE THANKS TO PARTNERSHIP WITH NEIGHBOURLY

SUPERMARKET chain Aldi donated 34,800 meals to families in need in Staffordshire this summer.

All of the county's Aldi stores including on Horninglow Street in Burton and on Old Knotty Way in Uttoxeter helped redistribute surplus food through community giving platform Neighbourly.

The surplus food was given to local charities and food banks during the period of increased demand during the summer holidays.
