Hierdie bespreking het gefokus op Suid-Afrika se swak ekonomiese groei oor die afgelope sestien jaar en die regering se voortgesette wanbestuur van die ekonomie.
“Die gevolg is dat mense armer word, werksgeleenthede afneem en belasting op rekordhoogtes is.
“Hierdie situasie het gelei tot 'n groot aantal geskoolde Suid-Afrikaners wat die land verlaat op soek na beter geleenthede, 'n veiliger plek om te woon en groter stabiliteit,” sê Roodt.
Die jongste migrantdata van die Verenigde Nasies toon dat ongeveer 108 000 Suid-Afrikaners tussen 2020 en 2024 uit die land geëmigreer het, gemiddeld 27 000 per jaar.
Alhoewel, verstaanbaar, baie mense verkies om Suid-Afrika te verlaat as gevolg van die verslegtende omstandighede, bied die land steeds geleenthede aan diegene wat wil bly.
