THE firm behind one of the most prominent development sites in Bristol with arguably the best views in the city has begun marketing the flats for sale already, with the first new homes expected to be finished in the first half of 2026.

- Tristan CORK

Developers Linden Homes, a branch of Vistry, have launched a new website for the site they are calling 'River Gateway,' which has risen above the Brunel Way dual carriageway and flyover between Ashton Gate and Hotwells during 2025.

A total of 220 flats in nine blocks up to five storeys high are approaching completion. The flats are located on what was once the Ashton Rail Yard, a thin slice of land between the White City allotments and Paxton Drive, between Bedminster Cricket Club ground and the River Avon at Ashton Gate.

Vestry's sales blurb invites inquiries to buy the one or two-bed flats, although the prices of the flats is undisclosed at this stage.

It's expected to vary some of the flats will have stunning views north and north west to the Clifton Suspension Bridge and Ashton Court, while others will overlook the Brunel Way dual carriageway, the flats at Paxton Drive and Ashton Gate Stadium.
