SPEEDBOAT killer Jack Shepherd could walk free from prison again within months after being granted a new parole bid.
Jack Shepherd will appear before a parole hearing soon
Former Bristol resident Shepherd was handed a six-year sentence for the manslaughter of 24-year-old Charlotte Brown, who was thrown from his boat during their first date.
He was released in January 2024 but last month the 38-year-old was sent back to jail for breaching the terms of his release, the details of which were unclear.
But the web designer has now been given a chance for freedom again when he goes before a panel, with a hearing likely before Christmas. If successful, he could allowed out weeks later.
Ms Brown's family has previously said jail was “the best place” for Shepherd, speaking when he was recalled to jail in September. Ms Brown's dad, Graham, said at the time: “He's back where he belongs. Prison is the best place for this man. I've always believed that Shepherd is a narcissist”
