Bristol Post
|April 10, 2025
ELEVEN football fans who pleaded guilty to a charge of affray after trouble outside two pubs in Cheltenham have had their cases delayed again, and won't now be sentenced until more than three years after the incident.
-
Trouble kicked off between Cheltenham Town and Bristol Rovers fans about an hour before the League One fixture between the two clubs on October 15, 2022, which Rovers ended up winning 4-1.
At around 2pm that afternoon, in Cheltenham town centre, there was a huge street brawl outside the Wetherspoon pub the Moon Under Water and The Miller pub next door on Bath Road involving fans of both clubs.
In October 2023, police confirmed 15 fans had been arrested, charged and had appeared before magistrates in Cheltenham in connection with the incident a year earlier
But that has not yet happened.
