PLANS to breathe new life into Castle Park have taken a step forward this week.

Park-goers soak up the sun on a late spring day
The city council is planning to spruce up what it has dubbed "Bristol's historic green heart" to make it feel safer and more welcoming to the community, including those with disabilities.
It has launched a new campaign called Castle Park Conversations aiming to capture a broad range of opinions from people of all ages and backgrounds.
The planned improvements come amid big change for the area including major regeneration at Broadmead, St Mary-le-Port and Temple Quarter, which will result in thousands more people living in the area, the vast majority of whom will not have any green space of their own.
