OPENERS Nemika Benthota and Henry Driver-Dickerson gave Hatherley & Reddings the perfect start ahead of completing a 124-run victory away to Bristol in the last 16 of the First Class Comms Gloucestershire Cup.
Driver-Dickerson hammered 94 off only 44 balls (11 fours, five sixes) to help his side fly out of the blocks, while Benthota compiled an unbeaten 117 from 102 balls (13 fours, three sixes) and there was also a late blitz from Harry Bloomfield (61 no). That helped underdogs Hatherley pile up an imposing 346-6 from their 40 overs before Bristol came up well short, as Joel Price finished with 3-37.
The Cheltenham club will now be home in the last eight against Bristol West Indian Phoenix, who dispatched Twyford House by 47 runs, with captain Ashur Morrison (69) and Vishal Mamgai (50) shining before Rushabh Yadav claimed 5-35 from seven overs.
