Bosveld Review
|March 05, 2026
THE Mahwelereng Magistrate's Court has sentenced two men for two separate incidents of rape.
In the first case, a woman was asleep in her residence in Lesodi-Mmotlana village on July 13, 2024 at around 22:30, when Emmanuel Kamogelo Matjila (23) entered her bedroom with a knife.
Even though she screamed for help, Matjila threatened and raped her, before forcefully dragging her to his residence and raping her again. According to testimony, she managed to flee when Matjila fell asleep, locked him inside the house and reported the incident to the police.
