Hospital awarded £23m for clean energy upgrade to aid net-zero targets

A HOSPITAL has been awarded more than £20m for energy infrastructure improvements. As part of the latest round of the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, has received £23 million to make changes with clean power upgrades.

This funding will help pay for an electrically powered heating and hot water system across the site, which will reduce the hospital's reliance on fossil fuels and significantly improve its critical infrastructure.

This work also builds on the multi-million pound works to create the new Emergency Department, where the site has already embraced greener technology.
