A Perthshire couple recently celebrated a remarkable seventy years of marriage.

Seven decades of love for special anniversary

The couple were presented with a basket of flowers from Perth and Kinross Council by depute Lord Lieutenant Alex Cairncross

Averil MacGregor Smith and George Martin Smith, from Balbeggie, were married on October 15, 1955, in Perth's United Free Church and their reception was held in the Station Hotel.
