Taking action on pollution in our sea with proper testing

But under the Conservatives and United Utilities, our coastal waters have been shamelessly polluted.

Recently, I stood on our beach with Colin Dente, lead engineer from British company Molendotech, to test our sea water.

Using Bactiquick, a rapid device that gives results in just 15 minutes, we tested for health risks in real time.

I expected bad news. But on that day, the water was safe.

Still, that shouldn’t be surprising - it should be standard. One-off tests from passionate individuals aren’t enough. Current testing is too slow and limited.
