New community centre gets ready to open its doors

A new education and community centre at a Lytham recreation site is set to host its first activities from next month.
The new facility at Park View 4U playing fields replaces the Eco Pod on the site, which was declared not fit for use because of structural problems in June 2023.
The project to demolish the Eco Pod and build the new centre, at a cost of £345,000, has been carried out by Thompsons Building Contractors Ltd from Blackpool.
