Join the rebel army aiming to overthrow the Galactic Empire

In a galaxy far, far away and light years away from any semblance of reality the umpteenth instalment of the Star Wars franchise has hit the TV screens of the nation.

Showing now on ITVX is the latest boxset from the inner workings of space and time, with the arrival of Andor.

The science fiction spy thriller series, which was originally shown on Disney+ is, like many others, one that shows more than a passing nod to Blade Runner. It is set amid a dystopian fantasy world and is a prequel to Star Wars Rogue One.

Mexican actor Diego Luna stars as spy Cassian Andor in a time leading up to the events shown in the films Rogue One and the original Star Wars movie. It shows how and why he becomes an enemy of the Galactic Empire and a key player in the wider Rebel Alliance.

The Andor cast includes some well known and not so well known actors including Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen - a resourceful and independent mechanic on the planet Ferrix; Denise Gough who plays a ruthless and ambitious lieutenant supervisor in the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB), Dedra Meero and Elizabeth Dulau plays key of Luthen Rael's rebel network, Kleya Marki.
