Claims speed humps needed to slow down speeders on busy country road

20mph limit ignored residents say as they now demand action

Speed humps or chicanes should be used to slow down speeding motorists on one of the main roads into Garstang.

Kepple Lane-which links the A6 with the town centre-has a 20mph limit, but this is frequently ignored by drivers.

As a result, speeding motorists are creating potential dangers for pedestrians, including children, walking to the medical centre, Kepple Lane Park and St Thomas School.

There has also been an increase in traffic in Kepple Lane due to scores of new homes being built in the area and nearby.
