Basics will be the starting point for Seasiders' squad

Ian Evatt says there is an expectation for his Blackpool players to be fluid and innovative when handed new roles.

The Seasiders' boss introduced a wing-back system for his first game in charge of the club at Peterborough United last Saturday.

It saw certain players in different positions, with Andy Lyons named in the back three and Josh Bowler utilised more centrally.

"We're teaching them new roles and a different way," Evatt said.

"I thought Josh was excellent, he's bought into everything we wanted to do without the ball.
